SP expels two party leaders

The Samajwadi Party expelled its two office-bearers for six years for alleged anti-party activities, an SP spokesman said.

Lucknow: The Samajwadi Party on Monday expelled
its two office-bearers for six years for alleged anti-party
activities, an SP spokesman said.

Both of them worked against party candidates in the
just-concluded Uttar Pradesh Assembly election, SP leader
Rajendra Chowdhury told reporters here.
"Party Uttar Pradesh chief Akhilesh Yadav has expelled
Khadag Singh Patel, former district president Kaushambi, and
Iliyas Ansari, former general secretary, Kushi Nagar, for
their involvement in anti-party activities," he said.
