Mainpuri (UP): With a view to check
revolt, the district unit of SP on Tuesday expelled two senior
functionaries, who had announced their decision to contest
Vidhan Sabha elections against the party decision.

Urmila Yadav, former MLA from Ghirore, and KC Yadav,
former district president of Mainpuri unit of the party, were
today expelled for their anti-party activities and
indiscipline, state unit president of the Samajwadi Party
Khumman Singh Verma told reporters here.

Both Urmila Yadav, who is also a close relative of
SP president Mulayam Singh Yadav, and KC Verma had yesterday
raised a banner of revolt against the party leadership
announcing that they would contest the Assembly Elections
respectively from Karhal and Mainpuri Sadar by launching a new
party after being denied SP ticket.

Samajwadi Party has already announced fifty per cent
of the candidates for the elections slated for early next
year.
