Bareilly: Accusing Uttar Pradesh Chief
Minister Mayawati of indulging in corruption and amassing huge
wealth, Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav on Wednesday said
an inquiry would be conducted to find the source of her riches
when his party comes to power in the state.
"Everyone knows that BSP supremo and UP CM Mayawati has
properties running into crores of rupees and it is necessary
that an inquiry should be done to ascertain from where all
this came," Yadav told reporters here.
"When SP forms the government in the state a detailed
probe would be conducted into acts of Mayawati government and
corruption," he said.
Yadav, who came here to meet jailed independent MLA
Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiyya, alleged that the
state government was acting against SP leaders and workers out
of political vendetta.
"Action was taken against Raja Bhaiyya and party MLC
Akshay Pratap Singh with the same intent," he alleged.
The SP chief also said that his party may enter into
electoral alliance with other parties ahead of the state
assembly election due next year.
