New Delhi: Team Anna is likely to launch its
campaign in Uttar Pradesh on February 3 ahead of the Assembly
elections but will not target any particular political party
during the exercise.
Anna Hazare, who was recently discharged from a hospital
in Pune, is unlikely to join the team's campaign for a strong
Lokpal Bill in the poll-bound state as doctors have advised
him complete rest.
Sources said though the dates have not been finalised,
the campaign is likely be launched on February 3. They also
said the team will not target any single party during its
campaign. The first phase of Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls will
be held on February 8.
Prior to the campaign, Team Anna will hold a public
meeting in Delhi on January 26 on the occasion of Republic Day
to create awareness among public about its campaign.
The team had earlier decided not to campaign in the
poll-bound states.
