Ghaziabad: A 16-year-old girl was allegedly
gangraped by four youths in a forest area in the outskirts of
Dhaulana town here, police said on Monday.
The victim was called by two of her female friends who
offered her a soft drink mixed with some sedative following
which she fell unconscious, police said.
She was then carried by two youths on their motorcycle to
a secluded spot where they were joined in by two others who
raped the girl, they added.
The medical examination of the girl has confirmed rape,
police added.
Meanwhile, the girl`s family alleged that their complaint
was registered after three days of the incident which took
place on April 1 and that too with the intervention of some
senior police officials.
A case was registered yesterday at the Dhaulana police
station and the investigations in this matter are on, police
said.
