Three held for murder of Congress leader`s son

Three persons have been arrested for their alleged involvement in the murder of the son of a Congress leader and his aide last month.

Amethi: Three persons have been arrested for their alleged involvement in the murder of the son of a Congress leader and his aide last month.

Amethi police arrested Veer Singh, Ravindra Pratap Singh and Amar Nath Pathak for their alleged involvement in the murder of Mahendra Pratap Singh alias Daddan Singh and his aide Suresh Pandey near Raniganj market on June 14, SP Hira Lal today said.

The vehicle used in the murder was recovered from Mau of Rewa district of Madhya Pradesh.
The officer also said that two accused Nilkamal Singh and Rudra Pratap Singh had already surrendered before the court on June 30 and July 3 respectively.
An FIR, which also named MLC Akshay Pratap Singh, had been lodged in the murder based on the complaint of Daddan Singh`s father and Congress leader Jang Bahadur Singh.
