Three injured in explosion at illegal cracker factory

Muzaffarnagar: Three workers of an illegal cracker factory were injured when an explosion took place in the unit at Khandhla town in Shamli district, police said on Sunday.

The explosion took place yesterday when the workers were manufacturing crackers. A large number of crackers and materials used in their manufacture have been recovered from the unit, which was being run from a house, they said.

The factory owner and other workers are absconding, police said, adding that the investigations are on.
