Lucknow: Ahead of Assembly Elections in Uttar Pradesh, Congress poll strategist Prashant Kishor on Tuesday said it takes “six months to change the direction of any election”.
While addressing a gathering of around 600 block presidents of Congress in Lucknow, Kishor said he created a “Modi wave” six months prior to the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.
Now hired by Congress, Kishor said the same can be done for Sonia Gandhi-led party in Uttar Pradesh, where Assembly Elections are scheduled early next year.
“March se kaam shuru kiya. Chhah mahine mein to pura desh ‘Modi Modi’ ho gaya (I started the work in March and in six months the whole country was chanting Modi’s name),” Kishor said.
The poll strategist further told the Congress workers that his job was to “tie their strength with one thread”, reported The Indian Express.
