Noida: The denizens are elated with the
start of the trial runs on Yamuna Bank-Noida line, likely to
be commissioned by mid-November, as it would provide them with
faster connectivity to New Delhi`s Pragati Maidan where an
international trade fair is scheduled next month.
"Thousands of persons visit the trade fair daily from
Noida. The Metro, besides providing direct transport to the
fair, will also relieve traffic congestion at the site by
reducing the number of private vehicles from Noida and Mayur
Vihar stretch," Noida Management Association president Dinesh
Jain said.
According to Noida Residents Welfare Association
Federation president N P Singh, "The trial runs have given
hope to residents for a better and faster connectivity."
