Trivial issues shouldn`t be raised to spark communal riots: SP leader Gaurav Bhatia

Coming to the rescue of his party which is being accused of not showing efficacy in dealing with communal tensions in Uttar Pradesh, the Samajwadi Party leader Gaurav Bhatia said that the government has ensured continuous patrolling in all the areas and situation has now been taken under control.

Ghaziabad: Coming to the rescue of his party, which is being accused of not showing efficacy in dealing with communal tensions in Uttar Pradesh, the Samajwadi Party leader Gaurav Bhatia said that the government has ensured continuous patrolling in all the areas and situation has now been taken under control.

While blaming the Opposition for fanning the riots, Bhatia said that small issues shouldn`t be given much importance so as to incite communal violence.

He further went on to say that the state government has taken adequate steps regarding the matter and additional forces such as PAC,RAF and other paramilitary forces have been deployed in Saharanpur and Kanth areas.

Yesterday, the state government has also sought a report of the entire incident from the district administration. The Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav termed the incident as "unfortunate" and said that those responsible will not be spared.

Meanwhile, the Uttar Pradesh police has taken the help of drones to monitor the situation in Saharanpur after violent clashes between two groups over land dispute killed three people and injured 19 others.
