Two arrested by STF for selling illicit fire-arms

Lucknow: Two members of a gang allegedly
involved in smuggling of illicit fire-arms were arrested by
Special Task Force of Uttar Pradesh Police from Faizabad
district, officials said.

Acting on a tip off, Abhay Kumar Singh and his aide Mohd
Haroon were arrested by the STF team from Faizabad roadways
stand last evening and four .32 pistol were recovered from
their possession.

During interrogation, Abhay told the STF sleuths that he
used to purchase pistols for Rs 10,000 from Irfan in Munger in
Bihar and used to sell it further for Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000,
they said.

Abhay stated that he was involved in smuggling from the
last two years and had sold 40-50 pistols so far, they said.
