Two beaten to death for trying to steal cow in Fathepur

Fatehpur: Two persons were beaten to
death Thursday after they allegedly tried to steal a cow in
Trilochanpur village in Khaga area, police said here.

The incident occurred this morning when two persons
attempted to take away a cow belonging to village head Chedua
Pasi, they said.

When Chedua saw the two men stealing his cow, he raised
an alarm after which the duo was nabbed and beaten to death by
the local residents, the police said.

A case has been registered against villagers and efforts
are being made to establish the identity of the deceased,
incharge of Khaga police station Sarvesh Kumar Mishra said.
