Two children die of encephalitis

Two children died of Japanese encephalitis while some 12 people were suspected to be afflicted with the disease in the district recently.

Japanese encephalitis while some 12 people were suspected to
be afflicted with the disease in the district recently.
Dr Harsh Sharma, in charge of the district hospital
control room monitoring communicable diseases, said 5-year-old
Chhoti of Dhaurehra and Golu, aged two, of Pallia succumbed to
the disease in the recent past.
"A separate encephalitis ward has been set up in the
district hospital where 11 suspected patients are undergoing
treatment," he said.
