Two persons died as intense cold wave conditions prevailed in Uttar Pradesh and fog occurred at many places in the last 24 hours.

Lucknow: Two persons died as intense cold wave conditions prevailed in Uttar Pradesh and fog occurred at many places in the last 24 hours.

Two persons died due to cold in different areas of Barabanki district in the last 24 hours, a report said.

According to MeT department, the temperature rose markedly in Moradabad division, appreciably in Allahabad and Agra divisions while fell markedly in Meerut division and changed little elsewhere.

It was appreciably below normal in Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Faizabad, Allahabad, Kanpur, Jhansi divisions, appreciably above normal in Meerut division and normal in Lucknow, Bareilly, Agra divisions.

Hamirpur recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 3.2 degree Celsius.

Weather would be dry over eastern Uttar Pradesh and fog would occur at few places over the state tomorrow, the MeT department said.
