Chandauli: Two persons were today killed and two others were injured when an ambulance in which they were travelling rammed into a stationery truck on National Highway-2 in Chandauli area here, police said.
The incident happened when all the four victims, natives of Bihar, were returning to their hometown in an ambulance today morning after dropping a patient at a hospital in Varanasi, police added.
The driver of the ambulance, Brij Kumar Singh (35) along with Subhash Prajapati (40), were killed as Singh lost control over the vehicle and rammed into a motionless truck on the Highway near Nehru-nagar locality, they said.
The other two members, Shashi and Sonu, were injured in the accident. The victims were rushed to the hospital, where Singh and Prajapati were declared brought dead.
The bodies of the deceased have been sent for post mortem, they added.
