Lucknow: The Anti Terror Squad of Uttar
Pradesh police on Thursday arrested a terrorist wanted in connection
with a bomb explosion in Sitapur district in 2007.
Alim, who was carrying a cash reward of Rs 15,000, was
arrested from Balaganj crossing in Thakurganj police station
area here, home department sources said.
He was wanted in connection with the blast near a petrol
pump in Sitapur on May 26, 2007, sources said.
They said he was an active member of Mujahiddin Islam
Al-hind and on its directives had planned to plant a bomb in a
Delhi-bound bus. The bomb had exploded while it was being
taken on a motorcycle.
