Ghaziabad: An election survey office in
Indirapuram locality here was raided and sealed after reports alleging misuse of voter information surfaced, police said Friday.
The survey company allegedly had a list of voters which
might have been used by electoral candidates for their vested
interests, SSP Raghubir Lal said.
Under the direction of District Magistrate Aparna, police
chief, and Additional District Magistrate R K Sharma, a raid
was conducted on the election survey office last night, the
Ambrish Tyagi, director of the survey company, is the son
of JD-U leader K C Tyagi, Lal said.
The office has been seized, he said. Tyagi strongly
criticised the act and denied any wrongdoing.
