Lucknow: Soon after the two-day working
committee meeting of the party, senior BJP leaders including
former president Rajnath Singh will tour various parts of
Uttar Pradesh to interact with people facing problems.
State unit president Surya Pratap Shahi today announced
the programme of various leaders beginning September 8, when
he would accompany Rajnath Singh to a farmers` meet in Agra.
0n September 10, BJP national secretary Varun Gandhi
would go to Kanpur to meet the family of a dalit rape victim
who committed suicide allegedly after police failed to file an
FIR in the case, Shahi said.
Besides, a team led by senior party leader and state
unit spokesman Satyadev Singh would visit Gonda and Barabanki,
which are facing floods, Shahi said adding that the team would
submit its report to the party.
The party has taken a serious note of the suicide by a
farmer allegedly due to starvation in Banda and party vice-
president Swatantra Dev Singh would soon go there to find out
the truth, Shahi added.
