Lakhimpur Kheri: BSP`s Rajya Sabha MP Jugul Kishore was booked in yet another kidnapping case on Friday for allegedly abducting a minor girl and keeping her in illegal confinement.

The case was lodged on a complaint by Anand Mitra, a resident of JB Ganj locality here, who alleged that Kishore and his accomplice Baby Awasthi abducted his seven-year-old daughter and kept her in unlawful custody.

Mitra has also accused his wife and `zila panchayat` member Sunita Mitra of being involved in the case, police said, adding that the allegations are being probed.

Today`s FIR came within days of a complaint lodged against Kishore and a local Congress leader Arvind Giri for allegedly abducting a local body `zila panchayat` member.

The victim`s brother had lodged an FIR against the two at the Gola police station.
Kishore`s wife Damyanti is the chairperson of the Kheri `zila panchayat`, and Samajwadi Party-supported members had moved a no-confidence motion against her.

Voting on the motion was to take place on September 25 last, but was deferred till October 18 as the presiding officer remained absent on health grounds.
