Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Monday announced Rs 20 lakh compensation for kin of Sub-Inspector Akhtar who was killed in an encounter with criminals in Greater Noida on Monday.
As per reports, SI Akhtar Khan of the Uttar Pradesh Police was this morning killed in an encounter with some criminals in Greater Noida.
It is reported that police had gone to arrest a criminal named Furkan, when the latter along with others, started firing at the police personnel.
The police have started the search operation to nab the culprits.
