UP CM urges Centre to sign MoU for Army schools in state

 Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has urged the Centre to sign a Memorandum of Understanding for the setting up army schools in the state.

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has urged the Centre to sign a Memorandum of Understanding for the setting up army schools in the state.

In a letter written to the Union Defence Minister Arun Jaitely, the CM has said that board of governance of the Ministry has in principle given permission to set up army school at three places - Mainpuri, Amethi and Jhansi, an official spokesman said here.

In continuation with the agreement, an MoU is to be signed between the state government and the defence ministry.
