UP continues to suffer due to heat wave

Unrelenting heat wave showed no sign of abating as most parts of UP continued to suffer, with Allahabad recording a maximum of 46.8 degree Celsius.

Lucknow: Unrelenting heat wave showed no sign of abating as most parts of Uttar Pradesh continued to suffer, with Allahabad recording a maximum of 46.8 degree Celsius.
The temperature was recorded above normal in Varanasi, Faizabad, Meerut divisions and markedly above in Gorakhpur, Allahabad and Bareilly divisions.

It also rose in Kanpur, Moradabad, Jhansi and Agra division.

Heatwave condition would continue to prevail in some parts of the state in the next 24 hours.
