UP council passes bills for setting up of pvt varsities

The Uttar Pradesh legislative council today passed five bills relating to setting up of private universities in the state amidst boycott by the entire Opposition.



Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh legislative
council today passed five bills relating to setting up of
private universities in the state amidst boycott by the entire
Opposition.

Five bills for setting up BBD University, Monad
University, Noida International University, Venkateshwara
University and IFTM University were tabled in the Upper House.

The entire Opposition walked out of the House opposing
the bills.

One more bill UP Vocational Education and Training
Bill was unanimously passed by the Parishad, after which the
House was adjourned sine die by Chairman Ganesh Shanker
Pandey.
