UP govt recommends CBI probe in Rusia`s death

Uttar Pradesh government on Sunday recommended a CBI probe into the death of Bhopal Development Authority CEO Madan Gupal Rusia, whose body was found alongside railway tracks near Agra.

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh government on Sunday recommended a CBI probe into the death of Bhopal Development Authority CEO Madan Gupal Rusia, whose body was found alongside railway tracks near Agra.

"Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati has directed Home department to recommend a CBI probe into the death of CEO, BDA Madan Gupal Rusia on the request of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan," an official spokesman said here.

Rusia had boarded the Bhopal Express train in Bhopal and was to reach Nizamuddin railway station in New Delhi on September 11. He, however, did not reach the destination the next day.

Rusai`s body was found over 30 kms from Agra station alongside railway tracks and the probe into the matter was being conducted by Government Railway Police, Cantt, Agra.

Family members of Rusia had requested the Madhya Pradesh
Chief Minister for a CBI probe.

Accepting the request of his Madhya Pradesh counterpart,
Mayawati recommended a CBI probe in the matter, he said.
