Jaunpur: Congress State president Rita
Bahuguna Joshi on Wednesday said that the party would release the
first list candidates for Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections by
May.

By the end of May, the first list of candidates for
next year`s state assembly elections will be ready, Joshi
said while addressing a convention of party workers at the
Bharati Mahila Degree College here.
She alleged that people were fed up with the regime of
the SP, BSP and BJP and were looking towards the Congress as
an alternative.

Joshi said that party workers should work to ensure
the success of Mission 2012 of AICC general secretary Rahul
Gandhi.

Accusing the state government of misusing funds,
the UPPCC president said that Rs 6,653 crore was given to UP
under MNREGA, but it has not been able to spend even Rs 2,000
crore and there are only eight days left for the financial
year to conclude.
Joshi alleged that the government was using fund meant
for development in the construction of parks and statues.

"Rule of law has come to an end in the state and there
is complete anarchy and atmosphere of fear," she alleged.
