UP polls: SP gives ticket to slain dacoit`s son

The Samajwadi Party changed its candidate from the Chitrakoot assembly seat in Uttar Pradesh and gave the ticket to the son of a slain dacoit.

Lucknow: The Samajwadi Party on Sunday changed
its candidate from the Chitrakoot assembly seat in Uttar
Pradesh and gave the ticket to the son of a slain dacoit.

Veer Singh Patel, son of slain dacoit Shiv Kumar alias
Dadua, would be SP`s candidate from Chitrakoot, party leaders
said.

Earlier, the party had given ticket to Sunil Patel, son
of SP Banda MP RK Singh Patel, to contest the UP assembly
election from Chitrakoot constituency.

The party had not cited any reason for changing its
candidate.

Veer`s uncle Bal Kumar Patel is an SP MP from Mirzapur.
