UP: Principal of degree college shot at

Bareilly: Principal of a degree college
was shot at by three unidentified persons in Shahjahanpur
district, police said here on Sunday.

Suryadev Shastri, principal of Gurukul degree
college at Tilhar, was shot at by three unidentified masked
men inside the college premises yesterday, they said.

Police said that to save the principal, head clerk of
the college opened fire with his licenced fire-arm, but the
miscreants managed to escape.

Shastri was rushed to district hospital from where he was
shifted to a private hospital in Bareilly last night, they
said.
