Lucknow: Demanding dismissal of the
‘autocratic and corrupt’ BSP government in the state, a
delegation of Samajwadi Party leaders and workers on Friday met
Governor BL Joshi and handed over a memorandum to him in this
regard.

"The way in which the BSP government is functioning is
creating a lot of problems for the common man. Corruption is
at its peak and development has taken a backstage in this
present regime. The dismissal of this government is the only
solution to rid the people of the misrule," SP leader Shivpal
Singh Yadav told reporters.

He said that the present government is functioning in an
autocratic manner and the way it dealt with a peaceful
agitation by SP workers, showed it`s animosity with the party.

"Party workers, who were on a peaceful agitation were
brutally lathicharged by the police and arrested during the
party`s agitation yesterday and between March 7-9", Yadav
said.
