Ghaziabad: Utsav Sharma, who had
inflicted grievous wounds on murdered teenager Aarushi`s
father Rajesh Talwar outside a Ghaziabad court, is sharing a
room with Moninder Singh Pandher, one of the main accused in
the Nithari serial killing case, in the Dasna district jail
hospital here, a top official said on Saturday.
30-year-old Sharma is undergoing mental treatment at
the jail hospital while Pandher is admitted since last 10 days
as he is suffering from high blood pressure.
"Utsav Sharma is being looked after by jail doctors
three times in a day, but due to lack of space in the hospital
he has been put in the same room where Pandher is already
undergoing medical treatment," Jail Superintendent Viresh Raj
Meanwhile, Utsav`s mother has moved an application
before the Chief Judicial Magistrate for her son`s proper
medical treatment as he reportedly suffers from personality
disorders, he said, adding her application has been forwarded
to the Dasna jail authorities.
However, the jail superintendent said Pandher is being
kept away from Sharma as he is fearful of being attacked by
"Pandher has also expressed fear of attack from Utsav
Sharma and distance is being maintained between the two beds,"
the jail superintendent said, adding strict security cover has
also been given to both of them.
Utsav Sharma, a resident of Varanasi, slashed
54-year-old Talwar`s face with a cleaver on 25th January
because he was reportedly upset with the slow progress in the
Aarushi-Hemraj twin murder case.
Sharma had in February last year attacked former
Haryana DGP SPS Rathore, convicted in the Ruchika molestation
case, outside a Panchkula court.
