Hathras (UP): An 18-year-old girl was shot
dead allegedly by her jilted lover, police said here on Saturday.
Sonia Singh was shot dead outside her house in Nagla
Dhjaru village when she had gone for some work late last night
allegedly by Devendra, they said.
Sonia wanted to marry Devendra of her village, but her
father Bhudeo Singh had fixed her marriage somewhere else
which was due on May 15.
The girl's father Bhudeo has lodged an FIR against
Devendra, who is absconding after the incident, they said.
