Victory parade turns violent, one killed

Meerut: One person was killed when two
rival political groups clashed over results of a panchayat
bypoll in Hastinapur area, police said on Wednesday.

Supporters of RLD candidate Rajender alias Pappu clashed
with BSP workers after an argument during a victory
procession.

The RLD candidate`s supporters had taken out the
procession to celebrate his victory.

Avtar Singh (52), resident of Rathori village, was killed
when members of one of the group opened fire, they said.
