Bahraich: Trying to corner BSP supremo Mayawati for her love for installing statues, Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh on Monday asked why she had not erected a single statue of Dalit icon Saint Ravidas.
"I want to ask Mayawati why she had not installed any statue of Dalit icon Saint Ravidas. Does it mean she did not consider him a big Dalit icon," he said.
Targeting the BJP, Singh alleged the party had minted crores of rupees in the name of constructing Ram temple.
Now, the people wanted to know where this money had gone, the Congress leader said.
Referring to the NRHM scam, Singh said the Mayawati government had set a record of sorts in corruption.
