Meerut: RLD general secretary Jayant Chaudhary on Thursday said that his party will welcome the decisions of Prime Minister Narendra Modi if it benefits the people and improves the employment scenario of the country.
Chaudhary, son of Rashtriya Lok Dal chief Ajit Singh, said this while speaking to reporters at a function here.
The former MP said despite a poor performance by the party in this year's general elections, the party workers continued to remain enthusiastic about working for the people.
"Electoral defeat has not dampened the spirit of RLD. We will continue to fight for the common man and the farmers and will raise their issues. The agenda for now is to strengthen the party's unit in western Uttar Pradesh," he said.
On a question regarding any plans to form alliance with Congress, he said it will depend on the political scenario.
He said party was planning to have grand celebrations on his grandfather and late former Prime Minister Charan Singh's birth anniversary on December 23.
