Woman gang-raped in Uttar Pradesh state roadways bus in Noida

In a shameful incident, a married woman who was travelling to Dadri from Kannauj district in Uttar Pradesh, was gang-raped by a bus driver and conductor, reports said on Monday.

New Delhi: In a shameful incident, a married woman who was travelling to Dadri from Kannauj district in Uttar Pradesh, was gang-raped by a bus driver and conductor, reports said on Monday.

Reports say that the woman boarded the Uttar Pradesh state roadways bus in Kannauj and was supposed to go to Dadri. However, on her way she fell asleep and missed her stop.

After the bus reached Anand Vihar bus depot in Delhi, the conductor asked all the passengers to get off. However, when the two saw the woman asleep they drove her to an isolated spot in Noida where they allegedly sexually assaulted her.

The woman later narrated the whole incident to the police, saying that she was told by the duo that she will be dropped at Dadri, however, they took her to Noida and gang-raped her. The woman also said that when she tried to raise an alarm the duo threatened to kill her.

The police have arrested the bus driver and conductor. The bus belongs to the Bulandshahr bus depot.
