Woman poisons in-laws, decamps with cash and jewellery in UP

Muzaffarnagar: A woman, who was sold for marriage, allegedly poisoned her in-laws and fled with cash and jewellery, police said here Monday.

The incident happened at Dula Kheri village here yesterday, they said, adding that the woman fled with Rs 80,000 cash and jewellery worth thousands of rupees.
According to police, the husband had bought the woman from Shimla after paying Rs 35,000 to a middlemen.

Nine of the family members, including the husband, were rushed to a nearby hospital where they were stated to be in serious condition, police said.
Search is on to nab the woman and the middlemen, they said.
