Ghaziabad: Six months after allegedly fixing the date to kill himself for having a "bad personality", a 25-year-old call centre employee was on Sunday found hanging in his house here.

Jeevan Sarkar`s body was found hanging from the ceiling fan of his rented accommodation in Sector 10, Vasundhra, police official Subhash Atri, who is investigating the case, said.

Police got two suicide notes written in Bengali and English from his room, he said.
"In the suicide note written in Bengali, Sarkar has said he used to be very upset because of his "bad-looking personality" and he didn`t feel comfortable in society and among his friends.

"He didn`t have hair on the head. He had a small height. Besides, he didn`t have a good face," Atri said, quoting the suicide note.

"Six months ago, he had decided to commit suicide on February 2, 2014. And today, he was found hanging from the ceiling fan," Atri said.

In the suicide note written in English, Sarkar has said that nobody was responsible for his death.

Sarkar, an employee of a Noida-based call centre, hailed from Siliguri in West Bengal and had been staying here for over one year.
Before ending his life, Sarkar messaged to his elder brother in West Bengal on the phone in the wee hours, stating that he was going to commit suicide and that his body be discovered by his landlord, Atri said.

"After getting Sarkar`s suicide message, his elder brother immediately called up his friend from West Bengal, who earlier lived with Sarkar, to check on him.

When he reached Sarkar`s room this morning, he saw him hanging from the ceiling fan and later informed police," Atri added.

Police have sent Sarkar`s body for postmortem and are waiting for his parents` arrival, the official added.
