Dehradun: Emphasising on linking development
plans with preservation of traditions and heritage,
Uttarakhand Governor Margaret Alva on Tuesday greeted people on the
eve of the 11th state formation day.
"On this important day, we should strengthen our resolve
to build the hill state which people of the region had aspired
for...We should link development plans with the preservation
of our traditions, culture and heritage, and ecological
conservation," a Raj Bhavan release quoted Alva as saying.
"We all will have to contribute to the development of the
state and work towards making the government accountable to
people," she said.
