`BJP will form govt in U’khand if Cong fails`

In case the Congress fails to prove majority in Uttarkhand Assembly the Governor should invite the BJP to form the government, BJP leader Rajnath Singh said.

Ghaziabad: In case the Congress fails to
prove majority in Uttarkhand Assembly the Governor should
invite the BJP to form the government, BJP leader Rajnath
Singh said on Saturday.

"In Uttrakhand, BJP will form the government if Congress
does not prove the majority in the House and in case of
failure of Congress in proving the majority the Governor
should invite BJP to form the government," the former BJP
president said.

It is a democratic process laid down in the Constitution,
Singh, a local MP, told reporters at his residence here in Raj
Nagar.

On the poor show of the party in UP Assembly polls, Singh
said a committee has been set up to study the reasons of the
debacle in elections and reformative steps will be taken.

He said that in Ghaziabad, anti-incumbency factor was the
main reason, as in Ghaziabad and in newly-formed Panchsheel
Nagar district BJP lost all the eight seats.

He said the Congress is also not in good position in
states and will suffer more in future due to increasing
inflation in country.

He also flayed the Union Budget and said that it is a set
back for the weaker sections of the country.

"The UPA government headed by economist Prime Minister
totally failed to understand the basic needs of common man,"
he said.

Regarding Akhilesh government in UP, Singh said that he
should work for development of masses as he promised and and
not for criminals.
