Fire at Dehradun hotel, no casualty

A major fire took place on Tuesday morning in a popular three-star hotel Solitare located here. However, no one was injured and no causalities were reported in the incident.

Dehradun: A major fire took place in a popular three-star hotel Solitare located here on Tuesday morning. However, no one was injured and no causalities were reported in the incident. The sudden outbreak of fire created panic among the guests and the hotel staff, who immediately informed the fire brigade officials for help. After receiving the information, the fire brigade officials rushed to the spot to douse the blaze, which took place on the third and fourth storey of the hotel. All guests and hotel staff were safely evacuated and the fire was completely doused in two hours. The fire department officials have also begun probe to ascertain the cause of fire. On its part, the hotel management claims that all fire-safety equipments were in place, the authorities suspect that the fire-fighting arrangements in the Solitare hotel were obsolete and unused for a long time. A rave party was also busted in the hotel few days back.
