Dehra Dun: A statue of Mahatma Gandhi was
desecrated in Gandhi Chowk area of Mussoorie following which
two persons have been arrested, police said on Monday.
Sanjiv Kumar and Harkesh Singh, both residents of
Najafgarh area in Delhi, were arrested and jailed yesterday
for allegedly desecrating the statue while they were in an
inebriated state.
The Mussoorie Municipal Council has removed the
desecrated statue and installed a new one in its place, they
said.
