Khanduri speaks to Mayawati over Pilibhit incident
Uttarakhand CM has urged his UP counterpart to take steps to track down the culprits involved in the alleged desecration of a holy book at Pilibhit.
Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister BC Khanduri has urged his Uttar Pradesh counterpart Mayawati to take steps to track down the culprits involved in the alleged desecration of a holy book at Pilibhit, which had sparked protests in his state.
Speaking to Mayawati on phone last night, Khanduri apprised her of the hurt sentiments of the community living in the hill state, an official release today said.
Khanduri and Mayawati also discussed the pending issues between the two states and both were of the opinion that all such issues should be resolved through meetings between the two state governments.
Congratulating Khanduri on becoming the Chief Minister for the second time, Mayawati assured him that she would take immediate steps for early resolution of the pending issues.
