Dehradun: A leopard was on Wednesday found dead in
Nainital district of Uttarakhand, a Forest official said here.
The carcass of 12-year-old male leopard with wounds on
its neck and legs was noticed by some villagers this morning
in Ramnagar area under Kota forest division and they informed
the forest officials, said Divisional Forest Officer Ravindra
Juyal.
A preliminary examination of the body suggested that
the leopard might have been killed during a fight with wild
boars.
Its body has been sent for post-mortem.
