Missing aide of Baba Ramdev returns

Balakrishna had been missing since the past three days after the crackdown on Baba Ramdev.

Haridwar: Missing aide of Baba Ramdev, Acharya Balakrishna returned to Haridwar on Tuesday. Balakrishna had been missing since the past three days after the midnight swoop by the Delhi police on Baba Ramdev’s protest fast against corruption and black money at Ramlila maidan.

Addressing a press conference he said that he had been hiding to escape from police brutality and also to help the supporters of Ramdev who had been evicted from Ramlila maidan. He claimed that many of Baba’s followers are still missing and efforts are on to trace them.

According to Balakrishnan he too was hurt at the hands of the police and his eyesight was affected as a result.

While slamming the government for the crackdown on Baba Ramdev and his supporters and calling it a “misuse of power”, Balakrishna said that, “the fight for corruption will continue”. He reiterated that Baba Ramdev was not working at any party or any organisation’s behest.”

Getting emotional at allegations leveled at Baba Ramdev for running away like a coward wearing women’s clothes, his aide said that the Baba was a secular person and was “loved all over the country”.

Allegations have been leveled against Balakrishna for being a citizen of Nepal.
