Dehra Dun: Former Uttarakhand Chief
Secretary N S Napalchyal will be the next Chief Information
Commissioner (CIC) of the hill state, official sources today
said.
Napalchyal will succeed Dr R S Tolia, the first CIC of
Uttarakhand, whose five-year tenure ends this month.
The decision to appoint Napalchyal as CIC was taken at
a meeting that was chaired by Chief Minister Ramesh Pokhariyal
Nishank and attended by leader of the opposition Harak Singh
Rawar among others last evening.
They also decided to appoint journalist Prabhat Dabral
and Supreme Court Advocate Anil Sharma as Information
Commissioners to the four-member constitutional body. Advocate
Vinod Nautiyal is already working as Information Commissioner
in Uttarakhand Information Commission.
The recommendations have been sent for the approval of
Governor.
