Pande to be the new Uttarakhand DGP

Dehra Dun: Director General (Technical Services) Jyoti Swaroop Pande would be the next Uttarakhand DGP, a top official on Wednesday said.

Chief Minister Ramesh Pokhariyal Nishank today approved the name of Pande for the next DGP of the state, Chief Secretary N S Napalchyal said.

Pande is a 1976 batch IPS officer.

He would take charge from Vijay Raghav Pant, who was holding the charge of acting DGP since July 12 when the then
DGP Subhash Joshi was immediately relieved for his new
assignment of CRPF in New Delhi in the wake of alleged beating
up of ruling BJP MLA Rajkumar.
