Sex racket busted in Haridwar's Kankhal

The Uttarakhand Police on Monday night busted a sex racket operating from a rented apartment at Kankhal in Haridwar, and arrested four men and two girls in this connection.

Kankhal: The Uttarakhand Police on Monday night busted a sex racket operating from a rented apartment at Kankhal in Haridwar, and arrested four men and two girls in this connection.

According to a report in Amar Ujala, the police made the arrest after getting a complaint from a resident of Basant Vihar Phase II – the colony where the sex racket was operating from.

On Monday night, the residents of the colony entered into a home and found four males and two girls in an objectionable state.

The police was called and a case was registered.

The men arrested in the case belonged to reputed families in Haridwar. One of the girls held hailed from Almora and the other was a localite.

Reports suggested that the girl who hailed from Kankhal was pushed into the racket by her own mother, who is absconding.
