Dehradun: Uttarakhand has become the second state after Odisha to have its own Project Monitoring Group (PMG) portal which is likely to boost investments in the state by paving the way for online clearance of projects.

With the launch of this portal, projects in Uttarakhand will now get forest and land transfer clearances online, PMG chairman Anil Swaroop said after launching the portal at the secretariat here yesterday.
Noting that the portal will give the much needed fillip to investments in the hill state, he said 14 other states have also agreed to launch such portals.

With this all hurdles would be removed online regarding proposed investments in state or union government projects.
Till now, 150 projects worth Rs 5.3 lakh crore had received clearance online through PMG portals, he said.
