Dehra Dun: Close on the heels of enacting a tough Lokayukta Bill in Uttarakhand, Chief Minister B C Khanduri has said the state won't tolerate corruption.

"Corruption in any form will not be tolerated in the state...honest and committed people will get encouragement and support," he told a public meeting in Uttarkashi on Thursday.

The Uttarakhand Assembly on Tuesday passed a bill to set up a Lokayukta which brings in its net the post of the Chief Minister, ministers, MLAs and government servants including IAS and IPS officers with a provision of life imprisonment or more severe punishment.
