DNA: Indian Army in a financial crisis, unable to buy critical weapons

Parliament's standing committee on defence has said that the Indian army doesn't have the money to buy weapons that they really need.Because of a low budget allocation this year, defence forces won't be able to buy operationally critical equipment like artillery guns, carbines, missiles and antitank systems for the army as well as patrol vessels and surveillance helicopters for the coast guard.
