13-year-old girl has been detained by the police after it raided a Maoist hideout at a village in Naxalite-affected Bankura district.

Bankura: 13-year-old girl has been
detained by the police after it raided a Maoist hideout at a
village in Naxalite-affected Bankura district.

Acting on a tip off, Sukurmoni Soren was detained from
Baghdubi village in the Barikul police station area last
night, District Superintendent of Police Pranab Kumar said.

Kumar said the girl was being interrogated by police
officials.

Bankura is one among three districts in West Bengal where
Maoists have been active for sometime, the other two being
West Midnapore and Purulia districts.
